, both 80-years-old, who survived the holocaust and the experiments of the Nazi doctor Josef Mengele in Auschwitz, attend a photographic exhibition in Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, 24 January 2018. The exhibition entitled, \'Flashes of Memory - Photography during the Holocaust\' presents a critical account of visual documentation – photographs and films – created during the Holocaust by German and Jewish photographers, as well as by members of the Allied forces during liberation of Nazi concentration camps. The exhibition focuses a spotlight on the circumstances of the photograph and the worldview of the documenting photographer, both official and private, while emphasising the different and unique viewpoint of the Jewish photographers as direct victims of the Holocaust. There are some 1,500 photographs and 13 films created during the Holocaust, as well as original newspaper clippings, albums, diaries, and a number of original cameras from the period.  mounted soldiers attacked the Ottoman Empire with the 4th Australian Light Horse Brigade, commanded by Brigadier-General William Grant, and galloped directly into the Turkish positions in what is now the heart of Beersheba, totally surprising and overcoming their opponents.
