His parents had been film- makers, his two brothers professional still photographers. Scott opted for both worlds. He combines a career as a key grip and cameraman in the film industry with a lifetime of capturing images of the natural world he loves through still cameras.
Born in New York City, Scott spent his first fifteen years in the south of Spain. Growing up in the beautiful countryside of Andalucia with its ancient heritage instilled in Scott a very deep appreciation of the interplay of nature and the simplicity of life.
This explains why his photographs so often reflect the calmness and peace of the world around us.
Scott's love for the outdoors and for sports like rock climbing and skiing brought him to Aspen in 1992. He commutes to Hollywood where most of his film work is based but he is also able to spend a lot of time enjoying the wild beauty surrounding the Aspen area.
